Kerr Leads Earthquakes to Win
The San Francisco Earthquakes knocked off the Portland Beavers, 10-4, at Waterfront Park. Adam Kerr, who captured player of the game honors, was a big reason San Francisco won. The right fielder went 4 for 5 with 2 doubles and 2 singles. He scored 2 runs and drove in 3. António Medrano got the win, improving to 6-3. He pitched 5.1 innings, giving up 7 hits and 3 runs, while striking out 2 and walking 5. The Earthquakes have an impressive 32-20 record.

In the top of the sixth, Tim Cummings had a big 2-run double off Fernando López. With the double, the San Francisco catcher put his team in front, 5-3. He went 1-5 with a double, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once in the contest.

"This is a very good team," said Kerr. "We have the chance to do something special."
