The Boise Bloodhounds got a stellar performance from pitcher Albert Franchi, who handcuffed the Kingwood offense en route to a 3-1 win at Stable Park. Mitsuzuka Nakano earned the save for Boise, his 5th of the year. The win moves Boise to a record of 7-8.

Runs were few and far between in this one. So, Stan Bell's at-bat with no one out in the top of the ninth was crucial. The Boise designated hitter hit a 2-run home run, to give his team a 3-1 lead.

"Anytime we get it going, it puts a smile on my face," said Franchi.
