Knights Saddle Bloodhounds with 4-2 Loss
|
The Kingwood Knights bested the Boise Bloodhounds by a score of 4-2, with first baseman Raphaël Cros getting the main credit. On the day, Cros went 2-3 with 2 singles and 2 walks for the Knights. Kingwood starter Ruggiero Valturri was credited with the win after throwing 86 pitches over 6.2 innings. His record now stands at 1-2. Javier González earned his 3rd save in 3 tries.
Cros came through with some timely hitting for Kingwood. With the score 3-2 in the bottom of the sixth and two down, Cros hit a full count fastball for a run-scoring single. His 13th hit of the season made it 4-2, Kingwood.
"We put together a nice win," Cros said.
The Bloodhounds fall to 6-8 and continue their uneasy start to the 2028 season.
