Juan Martínez pitched a gem to lead Chippewa to a 7-1 victory over the St. Paul Saints. The hot start continues for the defending champion River Chiefs, who took their 11th win in 15 this year.

Also pitching in was Chippewa second baseman Paolo Rietbergen, who hammered a 3-run home run in the top of the fourth. For the game, Rietbergen was 1 for 4 with a home run, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once.
