Mustangs Knock Off Georgia at McNichols Stadium

Georgia first baseman Salvador Ramos had a terrific game. He was 4-4 with a home run and 3 singles. He scored 2 runs, but it still wasn't enough to get his team a win. Mile High beat the Grays, 6-2. Ramos was named the player of the game despite the loss. Mile High, now 18-32, holds last place in the Thurman Munson League Sparky Anderson Division.
Melbourne, Australia-born Marshall Dempsey came through in the clutch. In the bottom of the first, with runners on 1st and 2nd and the Mustangs trailing 1-0, he hit a 3-run home run to right to put Mile High on top.
"I'm trying to keep it simple," said Dempsey. "Just do my job."
