Huggins Delivers Walk-Off Win for Cyclones
Baltimore got a terrific game from first baseman Larry Sloan. It wasn't enough, though, to prevent the team from falling to Coney Island, 5-4. Sloan was the player of the game despite being on the losing side. He was 3-4 with a home run, 2 singles, and a walk. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. With the win, Coney Island elevates its record to 6-9.

The Cyclones were down to their last out in the bottom of the ninth when first baseman Frederick Huggins turned a 2-2 fastball from Tim Stady into a 2-run double. The walk-off double electrified the Coney Island Coliseum denizens and sent the Cyclones home with a thrilling 5-4 win.

Huggins said this kind of win gives the team "a buzz."
