Getting a good performance from right fielder Misao Fujii, the New Orleans Jedi Knights defeated the Boise Bloodhounds, 15-7. Fujii was 4-6 with a double and 3 singles. He scored 2 runs and drove in 3 for the Jedi Knights. New Orleans reliever Eli Shepard got the win, raising his record to 1-0. Albert Franchi was tagged with the loss. The win brings the Jedi Knights to 6-4, a promising start as the team looks to return to the playoffs.

The New Orleans win was a team effort. It included major contributions from, among others, Kyoden Yamamoto. In the top of the fifth, the New Orleans shortstop came to bat and hit a 2-run double. It staked his team to a 6-4 lead.

Fujii said afterward that he was glad to contribute to the win.
