Panthers Get 4-2 Win Versus Barrow
|
Charleston rode a good effort from starter Morihiro Hashimoto to beat the Barrow Frosties at Franklin Mountains Field. The final score was 4-2. The winning pitcher was Hashimoto, now 1-2. He tossed 6 innings of 4-hit ball, while walking 2 and fanning 6. Kevin Spurr finished to wrap up his 3rd save.
Doing his part for Charleston was designated hitter Jamie López, who stroked a 2-run double in the bottom of the third. For the game, López went 1-3 with a double and a walk. He drove in 2 runs and scored once.
"I've been criticized for being a slacker, but the one thing I do care about is winning," Hashimoto told the Charleston Observer.
The Frosties fall to 5-7 and continue their unimpressive start to the 2028 season.
