The Baltimore Blue Claws grabbed a 5-3 win over the Eugene Emeralds at Prefontaine Park. Baltimore right fielder Yasujiro Okawa hit 2 home runs to earn player of the game honors. Manuel Cortéz got the win, improving to 1-2. He worked 5 innings, giving up 3 runs on 5 hits, while striking out 9 and walking 3. Tim Stady earned the save, his 2nd.

Tobias Zeiler provided some punch for the Blue Claws. In the top of the third, with runners on 1st and 2nd and Baltimore trailing 3-1, he lit into a forkball from Wilson Polk, sending it out of the park. The 3-run homer put the Blue Claws up, 4-3.

"Anything I can do to help the team win," said Zeiler.

The win takes Baltimore to 5-7.
