The Baltimore Blue Claws were defeated, 8-6, by the Eugene Emeralds. Leading the charge for Eugene was pinch hitter Nolan Morgan. He was 1-1 with a double, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. Eugene reliever Javier Ballina picked up the win, upping his record to 1-2. Randy Gould was saddled with the loss. The Emeralds keep rolling, raising their record to 7-3.

José Padilla came through for Eugene when he hit a 2-run single in the bottom of the first. With the bases loaded, he hit a 0-1 changeup to right-center field, staking his team to a 2-0 lead.

Padilla said afterward that he was glad to help his team win.
