Getting an impressive start from Luca Hatch, Bloomington beat Jersey by the score of 3-2. The last-place Blazers are now 21-30, the Jesters 29-21.
Had Ron Peterson not delivered a key base hit in the top of the seventh, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and runners on 1st and 3rd, Peterson hit a 2-run double. That made the score 2-0, in favor of the Blazers.
"That's a solid team effort right there," said Hatch. "Everyone's feeling pretty positive after that win."
