Spear Helps Jedi Knights Beat Knights
Bruno Spear was the difference-maker for the New Orleans Jedi Knights in what turned into a shootout with the Kingwood Knights. Spear earned the player of the game award after going 4-for-4 in the 14-9 Jedi Knights win. New Orleans reliever Tagashashi Ueda picked up the win, upping his record to 1-1. Miguel Padilla was saddled with the loss. With the win, New Orleans elevates its record to 4-3.

Richard Hutcheon contributed a productive at-bat in the top of the sixth. With the bases loaded, he drew a walk, driving in 1 run. It was one at-bat that helped New Orleans get the win.

"Guys always talk about winning games because of the 'little things,'" Spear told the New Orleans Herald. "Call me old fashioned, but I think baseball is about the big things -- like scoring more runs."
