The St. Paul Saints and Kingwood Knights obliged those fans who came to Saints Ballpark hoping for an exciting game.

The St. Paul Saints stopped the Kingwood Knights, 6-5, at Saints Ballpark. The Saints got a big game from Juichi Takahashi, who was 3 for 3 with a double, 2 singles, and a walk. He scored 2 times and drove in 2. St. Paul reliever Hyeon-san Yi was credited with the win, to go to 2-0. Howard Davis took the loss for Kingwood.

Late in the game, pinch hitter Brandon Sturgeon had a big at-bat for St. Paul. In the bottom of the eighth, he hit a 2-run triple off Howard Davis. The play gave the Saints a 6-4 lead.

"Honestly, I'm not frustrated," said Kingwood manager Rodger Raymond. "The effort was great."

The Saints, now 4-2, have played some good baseball in the early going.
