The So Cal Republic topped the San Diego Hops by the score of 10-3, with the largest share of the credit going to right fielder Ebrahim Magsi. Magsi went 2 for 3 with a home run, a double, a walk, and was hit by a pitch. He scored 2 times and drove in 3 for the Republic. So Cal goes to 32-17. The win puts them 3˝ games up in their division.
One important at-bat for So Cal came with one out in the top of the fourth inning. With a runner on 1st, Magsi hit a 2-run home run, which contributed to the Republic win.
In comments to the So Cal News, Magsi insisted that he's not as disinterested as it often appears. "Haters will hate," he added.
