Krajancic goes 3-for-5, Mustangs Move to 3-0
|
The San Angelo Mustangs topped the Victoria Vikings, 8-4, with youngster Victor Krajancic playing a key role. Krajancic was 3 for 5 with a home run and 2 singles, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 6 for the Mustangs in the win. The winner was Robby Tillman, who threw 87 pitches over 7 innings. The left-hander was charged with 3 runs on 10 hits. Beau Miller, summoned from the bullpen, notched his 2nd save.
Odilon Barata was a key contributor to the win for the Mustangs. In the bottom of the fifth with no one out, the light-hitting left fielder stroked a single to center. He was 4 for 5 with a double and 3 singles. He scored 2 runs.
"I'm proud of the way our guys played today to come out with this win," Krajancic told the San Angelo Daily News.
The Mustangs, now 3-0, have stormed out of the gates.
