Jedi Knights Knock Off Coney Island at Coney Island Coliseum

The New Orleans Jedi Knights got a strong performance from pitcher Felipe Pérez, who stymied the Coney Island offense en route to a 7-2 win at Coney Island Coliseum. The winning pitcher was Pérez, now 1-0. He tossed 6.1 innings of 2-hit ball, while walking 3 and fanning 7. The win takes New Orleans to 2-1.
In the top of the third inning, catcher Tomás Garza came through big-time for the Jedi Knights. With New Orleans leading 2-0, he belted a 3-run home run.
"Today was a lot of fun," said Garza.
