Tight Tilt Goes to Eagles, 3-2
|
Jay Retter pitched a good game, but his team, the Westside Road Warriors, still dropped a 3-2 decision to the Whitewater Eagles at Road Warriors Field. Whitewater reliever Ignacio Ramos picked up the win to move to 5-2. Jay Retter suffered the loss. The Eagles go to 85-76, putting them 4th in the August Herrman League Phillie Phanatic Division.
Derek Monnier didn't waste any time giving his team the lead. His first time up in the top of the first, he cranked a 2-run home run to put Whitewater on top, 2-0.
"I tell our guys all the time, 'Every pitch is the right pitch if you put it in the right place, you believe in it and have conviction,'" Whitewater manager Michel Hérault said.
