Sting Reel Off Another Win
Houston center fielder Kanzaburo Takahashi was instrumental in his team's 10-4 win over the Palm Beach Bums. Takahashi went 4-5 with 1 run scored to lead the offensive attack for the Sting. Houston reliever Yu-xing Law picked up the win, upping his record to 3-0. Jesús Ortíz shouldered the loss. Houston has now reeled off 6 straight wins.

Aomori, Japan-born Nobuharu Morita came through in the clutch. In the bottom of the fifth, with the bases loaded and the Sting trailing 4-3, he hit a bases-clearing double to left to put Houston on top.

"I like our mindset right now," said Houston manager Robby Tate.
