Road Warriors Come Up Short at Bel Air
|
Bel Air beat Westside, 6-5. The win in part was due to left fielder Allen Foley, who nabbed player of the game honors. He was 2 for 2 with a home run, a double, and was hit by a pitch, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 2. Reliever Takuya Masuda Jr. picked up the win. His record improves to 5-0. Jay Retter took the loss. The Princes own a robust 109-48 mark.
Naoki Nakashima delivered for Bel Air in the bottom of the fifth. His solo home run off Westside pitcher Jay Retter put Bel Air in front, 6-5.
"Not to put too fine a point on it," said Foley, "but we really needed that win."
