Sánchez Leads Blue Spaders to Win

The Palm Beach Bums and Kansas City Blue Spaders were greeted by an enthusiastic crowd at Envoys Ballpark.
A 3-RBI performance from Francisco Sánchez helped the Kansas City Blue Spaders beat the Palm Beach Bums, 10-6. Dominic Smith, the winner, improved to 6-6. He held Palm Beach to 3 runs on 6 hits over 5 innings, while racking up 8 strikeouts.
When the Blue Spaders needed a boost, it was the light-hitting Sánchez who delivered. Facing Palm Beach pitcher Leonardo Bazaidua the top of the first with a runner on 1st, Sánchez hit his 8th home run of the year. It made the score 2-0.
"We'll pop the top on a cold one and get back to work tomorrow," Sánchez said.
Today's win puts Kansas City at 52-107, while Palm Beach falls to 39-120.
