Seals Losing Streak at 7 After Extra-Inning Loss to Hipsters
|
Beach City got a terrific game from second baseman Reid Taylor. It wasn't enough, though, to prevent the team from falling to Austin, 5-3. Taylor was the player of the game despite being on the losing side. He was 3-5 with 3 singles and a walk, while scoring 2 runs. Austin reliever Luis Cruz was the winner. His record is now 1-1. The losing pitcher was Konrad Dortmans. The slumping Seals have lost 7 straight.
The most critical at-bat came in the top of the tenth inning. With two out, Roberto Ramos hit a 1-0 sinker from Konrad Dortmans for a run-scoring single. It put Austin in front, 4-3.
