The Sioux City Knights had no problem beating the Stroudsburg Shade, 11-2, at Tim Raines Stadium. Orlando Morales led the way. He was 2 for 4 with a home run and a walk. He drove in 3 runs and scored once for Sioux City. Sioux City reliever David Lidstone got the win, raising his record to 3-2. David Tredgett was tagged with the loss. At 93-63, the Knights have a slim two-game lead in the August Herrman League Phillie Phanatic Division.

Jorge Salas was one of the major contributors to the win for Sioux City. The light-hitting second baseman stroked a single to right-center in the top of the fifth inning. For the day, he was 3 for 5 with 3 singles. He drove in 2 runs.

"The division is still up for grabs, but I like our chances," Morales told the Sioux City Today.
