Tornadoes Go Down to Defeat, 8-2
|
The Mile High Mustangs thumped the Kansas City Tornadoes, 8-2, at McNichols Stadium. Ted Burbidge was a big reason his team got the win. Burbidge went 2 for 4 with a home run and a double. He scored 2 runs and drove in 2. The last-place Mustangs now have a win-loss record of 17-32.
Burbidge had a big at-bat with a runner on 1st in the bottom of the second inning, when he hit a 2-run home run. The Mustangs went on to win.
"We had a nice day," said Mile High skipper Dave Harris.
