Walder Hands Austin 7-1 Loss
|
Westside Road Warriors starter Daryl Walder was locked-in. He led his team to a win over the Austin Hipsters, 7-1. Tamasaburo Kato got the save, the 2nd for him this season. The Road Warriors, at 120-32, have a comfortable 14-game lead in their division.
Walder, the winner, is now 19-4. In 7 innings of work, he gave up no earned runs on 4 hits, while collecting 9 Ks. He essentially shut down the Austin offense.
"Daryl was throwing strikes, locating well," said Westside manager Tim Duncan.
