Hornets Fall Short at Stroudsburg
|
Stroudsburg shortstop Kiyoshi Shinohara picked up 3 ribbies while helping his team beat back the Bethesda Hornets, 6-5. Martín Pérez picked up the win in relief, improving his record to 5-5. Javier Sánchez was tagged with the loss. The 6th-place Hornets have lost 4 consecutive games.
Garry Graham was the walk-off hero for Stroudsburg. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth, the Stroudsburg designated hitter hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.
"Winning in the last at-bat, there's nothing else like it," said Shinohara.
