Sugimoto Delivers Walk-Off Win for Bush Wackers
The Houston Sting got a sterling performance from pitcher Miguel Bernal, but the Bush Wackers still prevailed, 4-3. Bernal was named the player of the game in a losing cause. He threw 6 innings of 1-hit ball. Brisbane reliever Jorge Rivera picked up the win, upping his record to 2-1. Nakamaro Takahashi shouldered the loss. At 88-60, the Bush Wackers have a slim two-game lead in the August Herrman League Phillie Phanatic Division.

Kan Sugimoto was 2 for 4 with a home run, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once for Brisbane. In a tie game with two out in the bottom of the ninth, Sugimoto came through with a run-scoring single. It put the Bush Wackers in front, 4-3.

"It's great to get the crowd pumped up," Sugimoto said.
