Eagles Win in Glorious Fashion
|
In a low-scoring game between Whitewater and Palm Beach, pitcher Isaac Burnell was excellent. The Whitewater right-hander was named the player of the game in Whitewater's 2-1 win. Whitewater reliever Michael Glass was the winner. His record is now 2-0. Vianney Vautier took the loss. Whitewater is 77-68 and Palm Beach, with the loss, 34-111.
Jonathan Cottle provided some late-game drama. In the bottom of the ninth, with no one out and the bases loaded, Cottle hit a run-scoring single. It helped Whitewater take the lead and grab the win.
"Anything I can do to help the team win," said Cottle.
