The Shade took Houston pitcher George Bedford's best shot and still were able to claim a win at Woodland Park. The final score was 5-4, Stroudsburg. Bedford went 6.1 innings and allowed 1 earned run, striking out 9. The Shade improve their record to 55-92 with the win over Houston.
With his team trailing 3-1 in the top of the seventh, Louis Lebon rose to the challenge. The Stroudsburg center fielder got hold of a cutter from Fernando Martínez for a grand slam home run. The round-tripper put the Shade on top, 5-3.
"I was a little disappointed," said Houston manager Robby Tate. "We could've and should've scored more runs."
