Houston got a strong outing from Naizen Uchiyama as the Sting defeated the Stroudsburg Shade, 3-2, at Woodland Park. Reliever Yannick Lefort picked up the win. His record improves to 2-7. Dong-hua Han took the loss. Houston has run its win streak to 7 in a row.

The Sting got a lift from pinch hitter Augusto Reyes who had a run-scoring sacrifice fly in the bottom of the ninth inning off Dong-hua Han. It was his 15th RBI of the season and put Houston in front, 3-2.

Uchiyama described the clubhouse as "kind of rowdy" after the game.
