The Whitewater Eagles beat the Bethesda Hornets, 5-0, at The Aerie. The Eagles got a fine performance from designated hitter Derek Monnier, who captured player of the game honors. He went 2-3 with a home run, a double, and a walk, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 2. Whitewater now owns a record of 74-67.
Making an impact for Whitewater was catcher Yong-sung Park. He drilled a bases-clearing double in the bottom of the third. For the game, Park was 2-4 with a double. He drove in 3 runs.
