Sting Reel Off Another Win
The Houston Sting extended their winning streak at Silvery Lane Field.

Houston beat Beach City, 6-5. The win in part was due to right fielder Yoshihiro Takahashi, who nabbed player of the game honors. He went 2 for 3 with a home run and a walk, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. Houston reliever Roberto Cruz was the winner. His record is now 2-0. Edwin Crespin took the loss.

A key moment came when Takahashi faced Beach City hurler Edwin Crespin in the top of the third. The Sting, who were trailing 5-4, had a runner on 1st. Takahashi got a 2-2 curveball and hit a 2-run home run.

"There's a lot of good karma around our club," said winning manager Robby Tate.

The Seals have now dropped 5 straight.
