Hipsters Drop Another One
|
The Springfield Capitals knocked off the Austin Hipsters, 7-2, at Prairie Field. Kumanosuke Ota, who captured player of the game honors, was a big reason Springfield won. The right fielder went 1-2 with a home run, a walk, and was hit by a pitch, while scoring 2 times and driving in 3. Austin has now lost 5 consecutive games.
Ota contributed a productive at-bat in the bottom of the fifth. With runners on 1st and 2nd, he hit a 3-run home run. It was one at-bat among others that helped Springfield get the win.
"Been a rough stretch for us," said Austin manager Chance Jackson.
