Black Knights Stick Stogies with 8-5 Loss

In baseball, each game is unique. This one was no different.
The Brooklyn Black Knights defeated the Havana Stogies, 8-5, in Roberto Clemente League action at The Humidor. Kata Nishikawa received player of the game honors. The 10-year veteran went 2-4 with a home run and a walk, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 2. Tokaji Goto finished to wrap up his 7th save.
Brooklyn first baseman Kojuro Ine made his contribution to the Black Knights cause with a 2-run single in the top of the second inning. For the day, Ine went 3 for 5 with 3 singles, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once.
"We maximized our offense today," said Brooklyn skipper Diego Aguirre. "That makes everyone's life easier."
Brooklyn, at 21-29, occupies 5th place in the Roberto Clemente League William Atteberry Division.
