The Kansas City Blue Spaders stymied the Beach City Seals, 6-1, at The Whig Stadium. Lúcio Valenzuela, who had a good day at the plate, was named player of the game. He went 3 for 4 with a double and 2 singles, while scoring 2 times and driving in 2 for Kansas City. Even with the win, the Blue Spaders have a dismal 49-91 record.
