The Beach City Seals got a magnificent performance from pitcher Edwin Crespin, who muffled the Kansas City offense en route to a tight 3-0 Seals win at The Whig Stadium. In 6.2 innings, Crespin surrendered 3 hits, while striking out 7 and walking 1. He allowed no runs. The save went to Konrad Dortmans, his 9th this season.

Eric Weatherdon, the Beach City designated hitter, contributed a run-scoring single in the top of the fourth inning to make the score 2-0, Seals. For the game, Weatherdon was 1-4 with a walk.

"For the most part, I made good pitches when I needed to," said Crespin.

Beach City, at 55-84, sits in 5th place in the August Herrman League Phillie Phanatic Division.
