Dancin' Outlaws Pin 5-1 Loss on Hornets
|
Joe Hutchins never let Bethesda get something going. The West Virginia right-hander commanded his change up in pitching the Dancin' Outlaws to a 5-1 win. West Virginia now sits at 77-59, while Bethesda falls to 51-85.
Tied up with the Hornets in the top of the fifth, the Dancin' Outlaws got a boost from second baseman Seung-jun Pi. With runners on 1st and 2nd, Pi saw a 2-2 screwball from Estefan López and hit a 2-run double to break the stalemate and put West Virginia on top, 3-1.
"If you pitch well, you give yourself some opportunities," said West Virginia Dancin' Outlaws manager Andy Franklin.
