Brisbane left-hander Subaru Suzuki made an effective start against the Beach City Seals at Silvery Lane Field, leading his team to a 4-2 win. Suzuki, now 9-7, was the winner. In 5.2 innings, he gave up 6 hits, while striking out 7, walking 3, and allowing 2 earned runs. Manuel Martínez earned his 14th save in 16 chances.

Emílio Días was one of the major contributors to the win for Brisbane. The light-hitting right fielder stroked a triple to center in the top of the fourth inning. For the day, he was 2 for 4 with a triple. He drove in 2 runs and scored once.
