Princes Suffer 5-3 Setback
|
Stroudsburg first baseman Connor Clunes was a significant contributor in his team's 5-3 triumph over the Bel Air Princes. He was 1-3 with a home run and a walk, while scoring 2 times for Stroudsburg. David Tredgett picked up the win with 5 innings of work. He allowed 3 earned runs on 5 hits, while walking 5 and striking out 4. On the season, he is now 1-18. It could have been a different outcome for Stroudsburg, had it not been for Dae-ki Yi, the 20-year old catcher . Yi contributed a run-scoring sacrifice fly in the bottom of the fourth inning to put Stroudsburg up, 4-3.
"I don't feel you win baseball games by working harder than the other team or 'wanting it more,'" Yi told the Stroudsburg Observer. "You win just by scoring more runs."
