Mustangs Stumble, Lose to Tornadoes
Kansas City Tornadoes starter Pablo Cuevas had all his pitches working at McNichols Stadium. His stellar performance paved the way for an easy 8-1 Kansas City win over the Mile High Mustangs. The 4th-place Tornadoes raised their record to 25-23.

It could have been a different outcome for Kansas City, had it not been for Oliver North, the 2017 Rookie of the Year Award winner . North contributed a 2-run single in the top of the fifth inning to put Kansas City up, 3-1.

"We didn't put up much resistance," said losing manager Dave Harris.
