Blue Spaders Take 11-2 Pounding
|
Westside starter Jay Retter kept the Kansas City offense in check, while his team cruised to a 11-2 win. Getting the save was Tabito Kato, his 7th. The Road Warriors improved to a lofty 104-29.
The Westside triumph was a team effort. Not least among the contributors was Soseki Oshima. In the top of the second, the Westside third baseman hit a run-scoring single. It staked his team to a 2-1 lead.
"You can't sugarcoat this one," said Kansas City manager Jack O'Callahan. "We got flat-out beat."
