Capitals Keep Streak Alive With 9-5 Win
|
The Springfield Capitals powered past the Bethesda Hornets, 9-5, at Hornets Field. Nicolas Léger went 3-4 with 2 doubles and a walk. He drove in 2 runs and scored once, to lead the charge. The slumping Hornets have lost 6 straight.
Warren Sanders helped his team jump on top from the get-go. His first time up in the top of the first, he cranked a 2-run double to give Springfield a 2-0 lead.
"The wins are coming in bunches right now," said Sanders. "We'll enjoy it while it lasts."
