Hornets Continue Skid Thanks to Ota, Capitals
Another day, another victory for the red-hot Springfield Capitals.

Kumanosuke Ota made an impact in the 9-3 Springfield win over Bethesda. Ota, who is tied for 9th in the AHL in RBI with 60, hit 2 home runs, while scoring 4 times and driving in 4. Mark Carney was the winning pitcher. Over 5 innings, he allowed no runs on 2 hits, with no walks and 8 strikeouts. The save went to Sang-hyun Kim, his 1st this season.

Flexing his muscles for Springfield was the aforementioned Ota. The right fielder had a 2-run home run in the top of the first for the Capitals. It put his team ahead, 2-0, and sent them on to victory.

"We're just feeding off each other right now," said Ota.

The wins continue to add up for Springfield, with the latest making it 8 in a row.
