Princes Throttle Bums, 5-1
|
The Bel Air Princes got a strong performance from pitcher Frank Garduno, who stymied the Palm Beach offense en route to a 5-1 win at Philip Banks Field. The Bums, at 29-99, have lost 4 straight games.
Francisco Germán had a big run-scoring single for the Princes in the bottom of the second inning. With Bel Air leading 2-1 and the bases loaded, he got a fastball from Leonardo Bazaidua and stroked the single to center. It was his 71st hit of the season, and more importantly, it put the Princes ahead, 3-1.
"We played a good game and came out on top," said Germán.
