Seals Fall Short at Westside
The Road Warriors faced a stiff challenge from Beach City pitcher Jin-oh Pak, but persevered to claim a win at Road Warriors Field. The final score was 4-3. Pak went 5.2 innings and allowed 2 earned runs. Westside reliever Nicholas Winslow picked up the win, upping his record to 8-2. Eisaku Yoshioka absorbed the loss. Earning his 12th save of the year was Shang-de Hua.

In the bottom of the 8th, left fielder Gilbert Luyks gave Westside the lead when he hit a 2-run single. The Road Warriors had been trailing 3-2, but the two-out single off Beach City pitcher Eisaku Yoshioka changed that -- and Westside went on to win.

"If you ever get this game figured out," said Beach City manager Nobuharu Chikafuji, "let me know."

The Road Warriors have an impressive 97-28 record.
