Bums Take Close Win Over Hornets
A nice crowd turned out to see the Palm Beach Bums and Bethesda Hornets clash at Hornets Field.

The Bums took Bethesda pitcher Nariaki Hamada's best shot and still were able to claim a win at Hornets Field. The final score was 6-4, Palm Beach. Hamada went 6.1 innings and allowed no earned runs, striking out 8. The last-place Bums improved to 29-95.

Yoshihiro Suzuki in the top of the eighth had a productive at-bat. With the bases loaded and the Bums leading 4-3, the Palm Beach designated hitter got hit by a pitch, driving in 1 run.

"I don't feel you win baseball games by working harder than the other team or 'wanting it more,'" Suzuki told the Palm Beach Herald. "You win just by scoring more runs."
