Road Warriors Bump Off Eagles, 8-2

The Westside Road Warriors downed the Whitewater Eagles, 8-2, at The Aerie. The Road Warriors were led by José García, who captured player of the game honors. He went 3-4 with 3 singles and a walk. Westside reliever Joe Mason was credited with the win, to go to 14-1. Jeremiah Horne took the loss for Whitewater. Earning his 6th save for Westside was Pablo Merced.
Westside grabbed control in the top of the sixth. With no one out and runners on 1st and 2nd, Johnny Burt delivered a run-scoring single, to make it 3-2 in favor of the Road Warriors.
"Every win gets us closer to our ultimate goal," said García.
Westside goes to 96-27. The win puts them 10 games up in their division.
