Dancin' Outlaws Come Up Short at Beach City
|
The Beach City Seals picked up a win at Silvery Lane Field, knocking off the West Virginia Dancin' Outlaws, 6-5. On the mound for Beach City was left-hander Vic Smith, who played a pivotal role in the win. Smith got the win, improving to 3-5. He allowed 4 hits and walked 2 over 6.1 innings. Smith allowed 2 earned runs. Konrad Dortmans earned the save for Beach City, his 3rd of the year.
One important at-bat came with runners on 1st and 2nd in the bottom of the eighth inning. Facing West Virginia hurler Bernardino Pacheco, Adhivahana Vandita hit a run-scoring double. The Seals went on to win.
"We found a way to get it done," Vandita said.
Beach City has now won 4 straight.
