Arthur was 3-5 with a home run and a double. He scored 2 times and drove in 3. Springfield reliever Sachi Kakuta picked up the win, upping his record to 8-2. Kyung-hwan Ho was saddled with the loss. The third-place Capitals have won 4 straight games.
One critical moment came with one down in the top of the second. With runners on 1st and 2nd and the Shade trailing 2-0, Elijah Green retired John Huot with a good changeup. Huot struck out.
