Both teams had their opportunities, but in the end, the Kansas City Blue Spaders got the win.

The Kansas City Blue Spaders did just enough to sneak past the Bethesda Hornets, 4-3, at Hornets Field. Kansas City pitcher Mauro Vázquez earned player of the game honors. In 5.1 innings, Vázquez surrendered 7 hits, while striking out 6 and walking 2. He allowed 3 runs.

The Kansas City triumph was a team effort. Not least among the contributors was Josh Dronfield. In the top of the fifth, the Kansas City left fielder hit a run-scoring single. It staked his team to a 4-3 lead.
