The Palm Beach Bums bested the Stroudsburg Shade, 7-5, at Tim Raines Stadium. Luis Morales was named player of the game. He went 3-3 with a triple, 2 singles, and 2 walks. He scored 2 runs. The Bums raised their record to 24-87.
Had Bartolo Muñíz not delivered a key base hit in the top of the seventh, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and the bases loaded, Muñíz hit a 2-run single. That made the score 7-5, in favor of the Bums.
